- No account or sign-up. No advertising. No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs. No tracking across apps or websites.
- Your schedule, reminders, workout history and streak are stored on your device, and optionally in your own private iCloud, which we cannot access.
- Purchases are processed entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details.
- If you email us, we use your email only to reply to you.
1. Who we are and what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Gymbound – Workout Reminder (“Gymbound”, “the app”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Gymbound app for iPhone and Apple Watch, its widgets, Live Activities and notifications, and this website.
Gymbound is designed so that it does not need your personal data to work. The questions below describe exactly what happens to the information you enter.
2. Information we do not collect
We do not collect, receive, store on our servers, sell, rent or share:
- Your name, email address, phone number or any account details (there are no accounts)
- Location, contacts, photos, health or fitness data from Apple Health
- Device identifiers, advertising identifiers (IDFA) or IP addresses
- Usage analytics, diagnostics or crash data
- Payment or financial information
Gymbound does not include any third-party advertising, analytics, attribution or tracking software development kits (SDKs), and does not ask for permission to track you under Apple's App Tracking Transparency framework.
3. Data stored on your device
To do its job, Gymbound stores the following information locally on your iPhone (and on your paired Apple Watch):
- Your gym days, workout times and workout length
- Session history: when you started, finished or skipped a workout, and streak freezes used
- Streak and progress statistics derived from that history
- Preferences such as reminder times, snooze, quiet hours, tone, Brutal mode, widget theme, haptics and week start
This data is shared between the Gymbound app, its widgets and its Live Activity through an Apple App Group container on your device, so the widgets can show your countdown. It never leaves your device unless you turn on iCloud sync (below) or export it yourself.
4. Optional iCloud sync
If you enable iCloud sync in Settings, your schedule, history and preferences are synced between your own devices using Apple's CloudKit, in the private database of your iCloud account. This data is stored by Apple, under your Apple ID, and is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. We (the developer) have no access to your private iCloud data.
You can turn sync off at any time in the app. To remove synced data, open iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage and delete Gymbound's data.
5. Apple Watch
The Apple Watch companion receives a read-only copy of your upcoming schedule directly from your iPhone using Apple's WatchConnectivity framework. This transfer happens between your own paired devices and does not pass through our servers.
6. Notifications
Workout reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device by the app, based on the schedule you set. We do not send marketing or promotional push notifications. If iCloud sync is on, your device may receive silent system notifications from Apple to keep your data up to date across devices.
You can change or disable notifications at any time in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Gymbound.
7. In-app purchases
Gymbound Pro subscriptions and the lifetime purchase are processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles your payment information; we never receive your card details, billing address or Apple ID. The app checks your purchase status on the device using Apple's StoreKit so Pro features unlock. Apple provides us with aggregated, non-identifying sales reports through App Store Connect.
8. Exporting your data
Gymbound Pro lets you export your workout history as a CSV file. The file is created on your device and is only shared where you choose to send it (for example, Files, AirDrop or email) using the iOS share sheet.
9. When you contact us
If you contact us by email at ashirali4444@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message (for example, your device model or a screenshot). We use this only to respond to you and to fix problems you report. We do not add you to any mailing list and do not share your message with anyone. We keep support emails only as long as needed to resolve your request, and you can ask us to delete them at any time.
10. This website
This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. It stores a single preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's local storage, which never leaves your browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which may receive your IP address as part of serving the font files (see Google's Privacy Policy). Our hosting provider may keep standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for security and reliability.
The contact form on the Support page does not send data to any server; it simply opens your own email app with a pre-filled message.
11. App Store privacy details
Consistent with this policy, the privacy details (“nutrition label”) for Gymbound on the App Store state:
The app also includes an Apple privacy manifest declaring that it does not collect data or track users, and that it uses on-device storage (UserDefaults) only to provide app functionality and share data with its own widgets.
12. Children's privacy
Gymbound is a general-audience app and is not directed at children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). Because the app does not collect personal data, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, contact us and we will delete it.
13. Your rights and choices
Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU/UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) give you rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, and to object to its processing. Because we do not collect personal data through the app, your information is always under your control:
- Access or export: view your history in the app, or export it as CSV (Pro).
- Delete: delete the Gymbound app to remove all local data; delete Gymbound's iCloud data as described in section 4.
- Stop sync or notifications: use the toggles in the app or in iOS Settings.
- Emails: ask us to access or delete any support emails you sent us.
We do not sell or share personal information, as those terms are defined under the CCPA, and we do not use personal data for targeted advertising or profiling.
14. Security and retention
Your data is protected by iOS security features, including device encryption when your iPhone is locked with a passcode, and by Apple's iCloud security if you enable sync. Local data is kept until you delete it or delete the app.
15. Changes to this policy
If we change how Gymbound handles information, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date above. If a change is significant (for example, if we ever began collecting data), we will tell you in the app before it takes effect and update the App Store privacy details.
